Since its beginnings in 1951 as an all-volunteer department in northern Harris County, the Klein Fire Department has become a rapidly growing combination department with over 200 members, both paid and volunteer. We provide fire protection and support services for 175,000 residents from eight stations in a 49 square-mile service area. In 2018, the department achieved a Class 2 ISO ranking and, in 2022, merged into a single-service provider with Harris County ESD 16.

Our goal is to provide the best possible service to the families, businesses, and visitors in our community. To do that we need to recruit and retain a team of exceptional people to serve as firefighters, officers, and support members to prepare, communicate, and provide the high-quality services our community needs, deserves, and expects.
