Harris County Emergency Services District 16, Klein Fire Department (“HCESD 16” or “KFD”) has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as part of our preparedness efforts for Tropical Storm Edouard. This activation ensures a coordinated response across the Klein community, should conditions warrant.

The activation of the EOC allows Klein Fire Department leadership to closely monitor weather conditions, assess potential risks, and ensure department resources are positioned to respond efficiently to any emergencies related to the storm. Forecasts indicate that rainfall and localized flooding are the main threats in the Houston area.

The Klein Fire Department urges residents to stay weather aware and follow official and reliable sources for the latest weather updates and safety information over the next 24 hours.
